The UMass Entrepreneurship Commons

This website has been prepared as part of the UMass Entrepreneurship Commons, a systemwide program aimed at facilitating the commercialization of University research and inventions through start-up formation. The Commons fosters participation and sharing of resources pertaining to entrepreneurial activities and endeavors for UMass faculty, researchers and students.  Please see at this link a presentation of the proposed UMass Entrepreneurial Commons.

The information presented on this website is designed to assist faculty and students with understanding the basic steps inventors will take going from idea to launch – whether you are thinking of building a new start-up or licensing your technology to an existing company.

Whether you’re a start-up based on the University’s  intellectual property or not, this site is designed to assist with your basic understanding of this undertaking.

Click here for a listing of selected resources both systemwide and on the five campuses and which can assist with these efforts.
